Day 1. Arrival San Jos

Select Costa Rica Staff meets & greets you at the airport and escorts you to your hotel (20 min from airport.) Depending on time, a city tour can be arranged. Overnight at the San Gildar

Day 2. Sarapiqu

Morning departure to Sarapiqui, stoppingover at the active Poas Volcano Nat'l' Park (1 hr). Then, explore the Sarapiqui rainforest on a guided hike (2 ½ hrs) with a local botanist. In the afternoon, search for crocodiles, howler monkeys, iguanas, birds, and other tropical wildlife on a 2 hr Sarapiqui river float. Overnight at Selve Verde Lodge B/D

Day 3.Sarapiqui

This morning we'll drive to the Pacuare River (1 ½ hrs), for a 4 hr white water rafting "rodeo". This 18 mile run includes a total of 52 rapids and provides dramatic scenery of this world famous river. A lunch of sandwiches, fruits and dessert will served along the banks of the river. Return to the Selva Verde Lodge by mid-afternoon. B/L/

 

Day 4. Arena

Take-in banana, pineapple and coffee plantation vistas on the way to Arenal Volcano (3 hrs). Enjoy a walk across encrusted lava beds at the Arenal Nat'l park, afterwards soak in hot springs rich with therapeutic minerals. Spend the next two nights in La Fortuna, on the foothills of this volcano. Overnight at Lavas Tacotal B/D

Day 5. Arenal

In the morning, travel by horseback and foot to the Fortuna Waterfalls (4 hrs). In the afternoon visit the town La Fortuna or lounge by the pool, overlooking the volcano. Overnight at Lavas Tacotal. B/D

Day 6. Villa Lapa

Scenic drive to the Central Pacific Coast for your 3 night stay at Villa Lapas (3 ½ hrs). In the afternoon, explore the upper regions of the forest on suspended bridge "Skywalk", later experience the thrill of flying through the jungle on a Canopy Tour. Overnight at Villa Lapas B/

Day 7. Catamaran Cruis

Cruise the Pacific Ocean on board the 71-foot Catamaran Manta Raya, past some of the 23 islands to an edensque island to enjoy a day of playing at the beach. On the way look for dolphins, sea turtles and aquatic birds. A gourmet-style lunch will be served on the beach. Return in the afternoon. Overnight at Villas Lapas B/L/D

Day 8. Manuel Antoni

Start your day visiting one of Costa Rica's smallest, but most beautiful Nat'l Park─Manuel Antonio (1 ½ hrs). The rest of the day, enjoy the pristine beaches of this picturesque park. Late afternoon return for your last night's stay at Villa Lapas B/

Day 9. San Jose

Re-enter the central valley visiting the town of Sarchi (2 hrs), famous as the center of wood craftsman. See how the colorful oxcarts are crafted. Take advantage of the abundance of inexpensive handmade arts and crafts. Visit a Butterfly farm in the afternoon. Return to San Jose in the late afternoon (1 ½ hrs). "Adios Costa Rica" Dinner B/

Day 10. San Jose

After breakfast Select Costa Rica staff provides airport return transfer. B
